HOW TO ENABLE BASH SHELL AND USE LINUX COMMANDS:
Microsoft brought some great news for Linux geeks when it's announced that a special version of the bash shell this part of Windows 10. If you want to use it, you'll have to enable it.
STEPS TO ENABLE BASH SHELL:
1. First go to Windows settings and hit
to update in security.
2. Here go to the ‘For developers option’
and enable the developer mode.
3. Then open control panel and click on
programs.
4. Then click Programs and Features.
5. Here click on the option ‘Turn
Windows Features on or off’ from the left pane.
6. In the new window that opens up,
Enable the option that says Windows subsystem for Linux. Then you'll have to restart
your PC. Once your PC restarts, search for bash which will open up command from
window. Here you'll have to enter ‘Y’ to install the one to first.
7. Once it's done you’ll be able to use
bash shell.
